if i am not mistaken that massive sales started even earlier..with the he5LE..and then in 2011 the he500 did the rest.. Those were the days to buy a he5 cheaply...

.if i am not mistaken i just saw a secondhand he5 (as new as its stated) for 675euros on ebay!! Ouch!!!
The seller must know about this thread! so i am sure he will sell it for that price to one of those desperate people who missed out on the stock Of he5's LFF still has. Especially when all the code-x's start coming free into the wild..being reviewed and listened to on meetings and talked about...and in so getting known by many Just imho ofcourse.

No it was the announcement of the new HE-500 that people started selling the HE-5's and HE-5LE's (now that you reminded me) for very cheap here, this was only about 1.5 years ago or so in late 2011.
 
The HE-5 was discontinued in favour of the HE-5LE because there were so many problems with wood cracking, more so than the Audeze LCD2's, the HE-5LE avoided wooden housing in total and used plastic instead.

I agree.(its been a while..lolz).also what u said about wood cracking ..one of my friends sold his he5 in favor of a he5ls because of that..and now has a he6.. Lolz
