Got a big and heavy Sola stablizer last night, it has a resonance transformer and naturally, it hummms. Not particularly loud (the spec is 35~65dB, and it seems to be within the spec), but still very annoying.
The problem is it does make my amps sound better, so I want to use it. Any idea on how to lower the noise?
I know I can always build a sealed metal box around it, but it doesn't make much sense to add another 20LB of metal to a 37 LB transformer box, for only 500VA of power conditioning.
