I've had this in my collection since I was a kid, and I only listened to it maybe once. I never really enjoyed it.
I find the CD today, and pop it in. Wow, funk fans, you've got to give this a try! It sounds great, unique, fun, and the SQ is a prime example of why CD's can rock. This is really a great album, front to back. I love re-discovering music I once passed up. I also love finding my old 80's mastered CD's I bought as a kid at the local music store.
No guarantee's on the 2003 re-release, it could be hacked to pieces in terms of SQ.
