I'm usually pretty good about these things and this film is going to freak people out.

Other than Unbreakable, I am not a fan of M. Night's work

The Sixth Sense was highly overrated and it's been downhill from there, IMHO. This one is being touted as his first "R" rated film, as if that's supposed to mean something. It's opening against The Incredible Hulk, so it will be interesting to see which of these makes the least amount of money.

OO Nibiyabi may be right. I'm not seeing and critics' screenings which is always a bad sign.

I've said it before, Night knows how to make a movie but needs a better scriptwriter.

His ego is way too vast for that. I hear he refuses to travel in anything but a private jet. All his ranting in Lady in the Water about "critics" just shows that he knows better than anyone else..... sheese, give me a break.

I guessing this is a "virus" movie? A virus that makes people suicidal? Interesting idea, but I heard the script got rejected all over hollywood, like the awful Lady in the Water. My biggest problem with Night is that he's a Twilight Zone-short story writer at heart. He takes a little story with a twist and tries to make it a 2 hour movie, when it would serve better as an Amazing Stories episode. He needs to try and expand his vocabulary and do something bigger, epic. This film may have promise, but his track record is looking pretty dim.

I've read there is no twist ending in this one.

That's a shame about his ego. I think he's trying too hard to be the second coming of John Carpenter, who is a veritable one man band writing, directing, composing, editing and even sometimes doing stunt flying for his own films. Except Carpenter has a sense of humor and really KNOWS how to make a tight, old-school thriller.

For somebody who makes such predictable and uninteresting films, M. Night sure is arrogant. Each film of his has been progressively worse. Also, stop acting in your movies, because you're no Sydney Pollack!

So that trailer really makes me want to see it....but I just have not seen a movie of his that was worth my money. I am really on the fence, maybe I will wait to hear the spoilers and then decide if it is worth seeing.

This film is actually the big screen adaptation of the hit 70's ethnic comedy "What's Happenin'?" starring Jaimie Foxx as "Rog" and Ving Rhames as "Rerun". So, not a horror movie at all.
