Hey folks,
Ive been out of the loop the last couple years with Head-fi and the industry.
I still have the same headphones, the v1 of the TH-900 model.
But the cables are hardwired.

Can I have some suggestions on who does these kind of mods or just "headphone" mods in general?
E.g,, I want to replace hardwired stock cable with a removable
cable and upgrades to cabling and terminations.

I see a place online called BTG Audio that does this kind of replacement cabling.
Has anybody had any experience with them?

What about that guy peterk/Verbessen that used to do mods via Head-fi? Is he still around??
He had great reviews.
I couldn't find his site after several searches. Could not find him on eBay/Etsy, or on Head-fi.

Thx with any help!
Gary

@jmills8
Thx. I see you have (several?) pair of Fostex Th-900 v1's, but you sold the V2s? is that right?
Just curious why? I have been happy with the v1's, but I'm a light user.

also, Lawton has the Black Hornet cables and Black Scorpion cables for a very pretty penny.
Lawton will only mod the hardwired to removable cable sockets ONLY if you buy the Hornets or Scorpion wiring.

I see you are also using the Silver Dragons, I was just on Mood Audio, I didnt see any specific cables for Fostex. Maybe too old? I will call them.

Any other suggestions? Is that guy PeterK/Verbessen still around?
thanks!!

Sold the MK2 only cause the MK1 are easier to use on the go. The Moon Audio Silver and Back are nice but not as good sounding as either of the Lawtons cables. Lawton full mod will bring out or fill more of the mids making the th900 closer to neautral. Its very nice but I also enjoy the stock or stock with Lawton cable cause I enjoy the V Shape, especially while on the go.
