Most USB DACs seem to support multiple bit rates. For example, the Music Streamer II which I have says "Supports 32k, 44.1k, 48k, 88.2k & 96k sample rates".
Does anyone know how the reconstruction filters for these are handled? Is there a single reconstruction filter for the lowest sample rate, or are there multiple filters for different rates?
My assumption is that there is only one reconstruction filter and it's an active design using op-amps, and it would have to have a corner filter for the lowest sample rate. I've actually done a reconstruction filter (75 kHz passband and something over 200 kHz sample rate) and was curious.
