Been lurking around the forums for the past few weeks, and I'm really begining to think that I'm only making my self more and more confused over all the choices XD. So I decided that I should probably ask personally...
Anyway...
I'm currently trying to upgrade to my second set of cans from my broken MDR-CD380, which have spoiled me greatly with it's comfortable cloth pads. However, I'm really torn between the choice of comfort and quality. Especailly since the CD line is no longer in production, I really can't find much headphones under $100 that has comfortable pads & quality sounds at the same time(I'm asking for too much aren't I).
I'm not really an audiophile, so my requirements are simple:
1)Comfort (pad and weight)
2)Good but not extremely heavy bass
choice of musics: classical, piano solo, pop, R&B.
I've considered the following:
CD780
XD300
XD400 (pleather, but I'm willing to pick the XD400 if the quality is better than others listed here.)
V6 (can be replaced to cloth pad, but ear pads seem small from images.)
Eggo D22/D66
I do apologize if anyone is offended by what I've posted >.>, since it's really unfamilar territory for me (and it's 5AM). Please feel free to correct anything I said, or request more information.
