Im currently putting together a little project sending people on sound journeys at festivals. im not gonna talk about it too much till ive trialed it a bit and such but im looking for some recommendations for good headphones for the project. I currently have some HD558's and while i like them im worried they will let too much background noise in from the environment being open back and also that they may lack the bass levels i want.

Im also not wanting to spend more than $100-200 as there is a chance they may get wrecked. So im thinking closed cups with decent noise isolation, good bass and as good a soundstage i can get. Also wondering if it is worth getting a dragonfly black to go with it or if i wouldn't see much difference?

Any opinions appreciated. I live in New Zealand so getting specific models can be tricky.

Cheers.

Shure 840s or the m50x for the price

I've heard the m50x doesn't have much of a soundstage. I'd give the ATH-a900x or ATH-a700x a shot. Haven't heard them but from what I've read they have a good soundstage for closed cans. Not too sure about sound signature though.
