Hi, I’m a newbie to the site, and not very knowledgeable in this area.
I am seeking recommendations for head/ear phones. I am looking for ( if it is such possible) a set that is clear but still quite loud as well, bassy. I have been sold many many pairs, only to find they are a far cry from what they had told me and can’t get my money back. Main problem is there are not many Audio shops here that will let me try before you buy, only JB Hifi, and they only stoc kabout 3 brands and in packets. Have also been told to stay away from the blingy types like skull candy, lady gaga, Dr Dre, as they can be overrated. And am wary about buying online for the same problem.
I like the AKG’s 141s (studio on ear) for clarity, but find they are not overly loud. And the cheap nasty liquid ears $7-$10 inner ear for their loudness. I prefer to have a good over ear set, and looking to pay from $80 to $300 max… as I don’t use them for anything other than listening to music.
Also any recommendations for inner ear would be great….Cheers Sonia
