Weird way to word it, I know.
Budget:
150 Dollars AT MOST. I can't go further than that unless I wait a few months ;_;, and even then I could only probably go to 200-250. I don't mind buying an DAC/AMP if they allow me to get headphones I want as long as it sticks in the 150 budget.
Listening on:
Music Preferred:
I would link, but I'm at work right now. I'll probably edit this post later to include some links.
Listening Environment:
Open back would probably be ideal, but I'm not opposed to closed back.
Comfort Preference:
This one is a big one that's been limiting my options :<
Sound Preference:
I can try out some headphones around my area, but the selection is kinda limited to Audio Technica, Shure, and some Sennheisers.
I've been looking at the SoundMagic HP200s, but I want to make sure I know my options before I impulse buy.
Thanks in advance guys!

Listening on:
- Desktop (motherboard has purity sound, I don't know if that means anything?
- Galaxy Core Prime Phone
Music Preferred:
- Future bass/funk; Stuff from Snail's House, Zekk, and Moe Shop
- J-pop / J-rock; Mostly Vocaloid stuff, Supercell, Rookiez is Punk'd, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is another one.
- Electronic; I listen to lots in this genre, Dropdead and Dead Critic - Call me was the last song I was obsessed with.
- Game OSTs, and Anime OSTs; the No Game No Life soundtrack I've been listening to for like weeks now. I love Megaman tracks.

Listening Environment:
- At home, in a quiet room.
- At friend's houses, most won't care about sound leak.

Comfort Preference:
- Leather or pleather on earpads. I can't stand velour sadly, and foam is okay but not what I'd call comfortable. I'm too scared to mod pads, so I would prefer to have leather out the box. This one is important.
This one is a big one that's been limiting my options :<
Sound Preference:
- I'm thinking I like brighter sound signature, with some punch in the bass? V shaped seemed on the right track too. But I do love my treble and upper mids.
- I haven't been able to test on a truly bright headphone (aka I can't find a grado headphone to save my life around my area to test.) I had a pair of Sennheiser Hd598SEs, but the mid bass, lower mids seemed a bit too strong for me and maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but it felt like the treble was too tame? I don't know, they seemed more like headphones for relaxing, laid back music. I want headphones with a sound signature that can get me excited, hype. I really do like my Koss KSC75s, but they're kinda uncomfy is the problem.
- When I listened to the ATH m50x, It felt like it was on the right track, but the lower bass was overpowering. I need treble and upper mids I think. I did appreciate its punchiness though.
