Hello, I’m looking for a Semi/Open Back On Ear Headphone under $300. I love the Koss KSC75, but would like to upgrade to a newer headphone that has more detail, soundstage and natural bass.

Hifiman Sundara (open back) - $240 US open box
Sennheiser HD650 (open back) - $220 used, less bass

Absolutely Sennheiser HD600 or 650, basically the gold standard for a reference headphone, especially at that price. But it is quite old, 600 being from the last century and all..

Headphones are not iPhones

There is no reason to think that newer is better...

Hi, it doesn’t have to be new as if it came out yesterday.

How does the DT-880 compare against Sennheiser HD600 or 650, Grado SR325x and Hifiman Sundara?

Grado SR325x.
I’ve been so interested in these but I fell into the trap long ago when I was a “green” audiophile, that all grados sound the same. Of course I knew it wasn’t true per set but I was poisoned from that moment having only owned the sr60 at the time. I never heard another grado since. It’s like my mind has been contaminated since then and no amount of reviews or charts ever allowed me to get out of it. Are they really that good? That much different from the sr60/80 to warrant the price? And would you know if/how they compare to the hemp? Thanks man ✌️
