I have both the 250 and 600 ohm editions of the DT880's, this is due to a shipping error, and I will be sending one back. I decided on these cans after doing a lot of research and found that for the price I was looking to spend they were the ones I was looking for.
Now my question is what AMP/DAC setup would pair well with it without breaking the bank, also which version of the DT 880 should I keep, given the recommended AMP/DAC setup.
I was thinking of the Schiit Modi and Vali or Valhalla. Is the performance difference between the Vali and Valhalla enough to justify the cost difference?
Another setup I was looking at is the Maverick Aduio D2 paired with the A1. I know this setup will be cost quite a bit more than the Modi/Vali but if the cost difference is justifiable I'm willing to get some better gear.
For listening preferences I would say eclectic, I can pretty much listen to anything and enjoy and I usually do. These will be used for music, movies, videogaming, etc. they will be my always connected computer sound device,
