Hello,

I have the Sennheiser HD650 (300 Ω impedance), the Campfire Audio Andromeda (12.8 Ω @ 1kHz Impedance) and the Aurisonics ASG 2.5 (41 Ω).

I'm looking for a full-size headphone amp for my computer that is powerful enough for the HD650 yet sensitive enough for the Andromeda IEMs. It does not need to be portable. It can either be a standalone amp, or a dac/amp combo. I don't have a dac yet either. I have a budget of $500 for the Amp. What are my options? I don't mind buying used.

Meier Corda Jazz FF. Older Meier amps have -10dB low gain setting but the newer ones only have -4dB, but the new ones use that new digital volume control so even at 2mm of movement of the knob it won't have any imbalance. And with that -4dB gain it's highly unlikely that you won't get a wide enough range from silence to ear shattering, even with the Aurisonics at 125dB/1mW.

Audio-GD NFB-11.28, total price should be under $400, shipped to your door.

I've read a lot of good things about Audio-GD and would jump on it if I only used my Sennheiser headphones. Although the output impedance of the NFB-11.28 is a respectable 2 Ω, the Campfire Audio Andromedia IEMs are very sensitive and it would change the frequency response of the earphones killing the lower end and making it sound bright. I think I need an amp with less than 1 Ω output impedance.

A headphone jack with 2-Ohm output impedance is fine for 12.5-Ohm IEMs
Chances are Campfire Andromedia IEMs have been plugged into DAP and smartphone's headphone jack, that have had a higher output impedance of 2-Ohms and the IEMs have worked fine.

I emailed Audio-GD directly and asked them what model they would recommend for the Campfire Audio Andromeda IEMs and they replied that their headphone amps are not suited for IEMs because they are all high gain.
