Just wondering, any of you use this p2p service? I've used it on and off for about half a year, and I highly recommend it.

Pros: 100% legal, free music usually using lossless compression (SHN), generous users good about keeping stuff available. Standardized files (with recording info and setlists) so you can resume downloads from anyone who has what you want that is online. Good quality, for bootlegs (sometimes even with soundboard access).

Cons: 100% legal, free music meaning it leans heavily towards jambands (but some good jazz and other stuff too) and the recording and mastering work is mostly by (dedicated) amateurs.

I'll second that recommendation for furthernet...lots of good tunes and current version is pretty stable. There is a lot of jamband, but lots of other stuff too, even live jazz from the likes of Herbie Hancock. I am a big fan of SHN file compression. It sounds much more dynamic than MP3 even though it takes a lot longer to download.
