I need your opinions Head-Fi.

Normally, when I'm out and about I use my iPhone and a pair of SE500 with the iPhone adapter.

However, it's summer and I don't have nearly as many available pockets when out and about. So under certain situations, I need to leave the SE500 at home because the case is too big.

So... help me find some cheap headphones that I can just toss into my pocket without a hard case and not worry about damage.

Requirements:

- canal phones / IEM only
- must have a microphone and be compatible with iPhone
- must at least sound decent (I like a warm sounding headphone)
- must not make me sad if they break while crunched up in my pocket so the cheaper the better OR must be real sturdy

Thanks for any suggestions.

The Nuforce NE-7M is a popular choice around here. at $50, they aren't really expensive and they lean a little toward the low side and bass from what I read.

There's also (or was) the UE Metrofi 200vi or something on Amazon for $25. Haven't heard as much about these though.

Amazing! This is perfect. If they suck bad, it don't matter cause they are so cheap! They will most likely get worn only like 5 or 6 times a year anyway. Thanks for the head's up, they been ordered.

Just following up as I have received the $25 Metro.fi 200v from Amazon... These are seriously the best junker headphones I have owned ~ most definitely an upgrade from the stock iphone headset also (which I attempted to use but ran away screaming after 20 seconds).

I've only listened to them for a few minutes, but these headphones will be great to bring with me when I have no space for the Shure on my person as these can be stuck into small jeans pockets without any problem. I shall never again be without music!

These also come with a very small case which is perfect for my pockets (or lack there of) in the summer. The case is less than half the size of the Shure e500 case both in thickness and length. You can't go wrong for $25

Thank you all for your help.

Amazon.com: Ultimate Ears MetroFi 200v Noise Isolating Earphones w/ Microphone: Electronics

They are.....the sale ended and the price went back up. I had them in my Cart for awhile while I was deciding what to buy. I was about to buy them when I noticed the price had gone from $25 to $99. I ended up buying RE2'sinstead. I knew I should've jumped on them.

I might have to go for the Nuforce NE-7M just for the price alone. I don't know what's up with Amazon and jacking up of prices right back to retail all of a sudden.
