Thread title says it. Can anyone with experience with these headphones recommend me some headphone amps that pair well with these? For those who aren't familiar with them they are 120 ohm, and I've read that they have are similar to K501's but with a fuller bass response. I've never owned 501's so I can only repeat what others have said. I can attest to them having a nice low-end but nowhere near what I would call bass-heavy. Possibly the most significant trait is their super-spacious almost freaky soundstage. It's like I'm floating in a river of music which is interesting at times, not so great at other times. Is there an amp that can focus everything down a little more, bring a bit more presence and forwardness to these phones?

But don't mind my opinions, I've never owned a dedicated HP amp so I need all the advice I can get.

Thank you!

Hmm, I wasn't thinking of going too high for my first amp. I had hoped for under $350. I guess what I'm really doing is deciding if my next upgrade should even be an amp. I wouldn't mind moving to some better headphones but if a well matched amp will make my current headphones really sing, then I'll go that route.

I'll check out the canamp too, thanks!

I liked the K401 with my Gilmore Lite when I owned that combo. The Cavalli-Kan Kumisa III might work well too (it has some technical similarities with the Gilmore Lite), Rockhopper Audio is starting a build of these.
