First post here. I limit down to M40x and the rare Sony h.ear MDR100aap. I bought the sonys and thinking of returning them due to bad leaks.
I used to own M20x and tho they don't isolate too bad, they did keep my music in. I really can't tell the sound difference much between M20x and sonys.
Don't care about the price difference as somehow I could get these 2 around the same price.
Sound requirement: mainly jpop, electric and bass. The sonys are flatter than M20 which I dislike, however I welcome the extra clarity and overall. If the M40x leaks as much as sonys, then I'll keep the sony.
tl;dr : Does M40x provide better sound isolation and jpop music than Mdr100aap?
