I'm going to spend my time in asia for a while (a year or so). Because of this i'm not able to take a large speaker system with me. (perhaps i'll make my own when i'm there but that's a whole different story).

Now i do have sleek-audio sa6 iem but... to be honest, a headphone just sounds a lot roomier for some reason (beter definition of tones). I used to have a sony mdr-cd380... Even though it's not a really expensive headphone... it did opened my eyes that headphones can give really really good quality audio for a cheap price...

now to get back to the question. Can someone recommend me some headphones for usage with laptop? range up to $200. It should be suitable for any kind of genre of music.

hmm i've seen the express card version of that soundcard somewhere else. I'll buy that when i have a new laptop... right now i don't really know if it will have an cardbus or express card slot.

what can i expect from the gmp headphones?
