Recomend me a great book.

Have you tried H.P. Lovecraft? Should be a good fit for any King lover. He has a lot of stories and collections, but "The Call of Cthulhu" is a good place to start. I also like "The Dunwich Horror" and "At the Mountains of Madness." His prose tends towards the flowery, but keep reading. Lovecraft will grow on you.

You might also like Neil Stephenson's "Cryptonomicon." I won't tell you anything about it here, but you should have trouble putting it down.

Both these suggestions are excellent. Lovecraft was great, and I love Neal Stephenson's books (Cryptonomicon is a good one).

Have you read American Gods by Neil Gaiman? It's one of my favourite books of all time, I highly recommend it.

Oh, also:

Perdido Street Station, by China Mieville. There are sequels, which aren't too bad, but the first one is still easily the best.

Stephen King is a big fan of Jim Thompson. Start with reading The Killer Inside Me or at least watching After Dark, My Sweet.

Okay, I'll bite. What's the connection between Steven King, Chuck Palahniuk and The Bible?
