I've owned the Triple Fi 10 for many years now - the best I've had to date. Now I am ready for the "next step" and want to replace them with something acoustically better. As source, I have the Fiio X5 and an E12 amp stack.
I've read a bunch of comparisons and reviews between the following four UIEMs:
1) IE800
2) K3003
3) SE846
4) UE900
Price is not a deterrent, what is important is sound quality, comfort and durability (build quality). The IE800s are very interesting, but the lack of changeable cable is a cause for concern (especially at that price range) - Unfortunately, I have now easy chance to try these buds out before the purchase, aside from buying them and returning them. Here in Germany it is not easy to sample these products (normal headphones yes)
So the main question is: What would be considered a good "replacement" or upgrade from the Triple Fi's??
Any suggestions or feedback are welcome!
Thx,
