so i'm wanting to recable my grado sr60's in the near future. being someone who hates stupidly long lengths of cable when using them at school etc i was thinking what if I where to put a female mini plug somewhere about the middle of my chest as the end, then build various lengths of mini to mini based on the situation (at school, at home etc). would this cause any noticeable loss in sound quality do you think provided the cable and connectors are decent?

Stay away from rat-shack 1/8" TRS plugs. Poor connections inside. I bought 6 and only 2 were useable.... Intermittent contact on the 4. The 2 that were good I had to flow a BUNCH of solder down their center contact rivet.

Took me all night to troubleshoot the damn thing. I was

hehe yah i thought about doing it this way as opposed to doing the detachable cables at the cups, plus i'd do it all if i was going to do it as i'm sick of my cables continually being twisted that and having a big loop of wire in my pocket is a pain

hmmm patent for the idea me thinks
