If you had to, what wire would you use?

I have been reading about people doing this on the monster 255 page thread here, and most often people say the wire they chose was too stiff. However, a recommendation is not made on what wire would be ideal.

Thanks

Guide to ER-4 Recabling
I have posted this over a year ago. Since then my ER-4S has been recabled 20 times or more with different types of cable. Now I am happy with solid core 5N 0.2mm pure silver.

This is how they look now:

Thanks for the link.

My main question is what cable to use, so where did you end up finding the cable?

Is it still flexible given that it is a solid core?

The solid core silver wire that I use is 0.2mm (teflon coated) so they are VERY tiny and flexible - not cumbersome at all. Don't go beyond 0.2mm for solid core because you will get a stiff IEM in return. My ER-4S uses four strands of solid core silver with a pair in each channel and they are heatshrinked using 1mm tubes. The heasthrink tubes helped to protect them + makes them even more flexible.

The silver wires I use are available from Octave Audio

Well Ety being Ety, they still sound like Ety.

The improvements are in the form of tamed highs with audible smoothness and transparency. Pure silver is not "annoyingly bright" as some would believe. SPC yes, they are glaringly bright.

Where exactly did you get this cable? I want something thin and flexible as well, but I'm having lots of trouble finding some.
