I bought the SACD/CD hybrid of the title "The Raven" by Rebecca Pidgeon 2 weeks ago. The recording quality is absolutely amazing. Her music has a celtic influence (enya anyone?), and is in her own style the equivalent of Diana Krall IMHO. I also have her earlier CD entitled "The New York Girls' Club" which was for a time being my constant bedtime companion.

Recently, it seems that a few hi-fi shops have begun using song #5 "Grandfather" on The Raven SACD/CD as a sort of reference track to test out speakers etc etc. 2 days ago I auditioned a Cyrus CD player (non SACD) with the QUAD floorseater speakers with that song playing and I must say, life is sweet indeed!

You mean Grandmother.
I agree, the SACD is a cut above the redbook issue and is great music as well. The title cut is my favorite.

No problem, it must be hard typing and eating rice at the same time.

BTW, do you notice that the background vocals on those couple of songs (with background vocals) is thin and frayed?
