I have the k26p, they are rather new. I was a little dissapointed at first. I tried the EQ suggestion with the iPod and they now are decent set of cans. It brought out the mids, tighted the bass, and took away the harsh highs. Man, always hated the EQ, but.....DAMN!!! It was made for these.

I will try it with my Nano. I guess I need to give the AKGs a fair tryout.

Just a little update if any are thinking of trying this out. Works great for some music, worse for others. I now remember why I hated the iPod EQ; it introduces distortion on occasion. Works fine on about half of my collection. Still, it does make them more listenable.
