Hi

I've had these headphones for just over a year, during which I've been impressed with the sound. Today I put them on and one side was silent. By tapping it a bit I managed to make it sound occasionally, but not for long. I popped the back off, expecting to see a loose wire or something - nope, both solder joints are fine. I checked each wire back to the jack plug - no intermittent breaks. So I checked the DC resistance of the driver - about 350-400 Ohms, compared to about 60 on the other side. When it could be persuaded to work, by a little light percussive maintenance, the resistance dropped back to 60 Ohms. Now sadly it seems to be permanently stuffed - always high resistance.

Anyway, a quick check on Google, and it seems that this is by no means uncommon - I've joined the illustrious driver failure club. This discourages me from buying another pair.

What do refugees from RE0 driver failure buy instead? What can you do with a mono RE0?

Cheers
John
