I know you guys despise Skullcandy, but for 15 dollars shipped, I really like these things with my mp3 player.  Anyways, I would like to make some detachable cables for them.  I've done rewiring for full sized headphones, but what's involved with doing earbuds.  The end plug is easy, but how do I get these little things open to re-wire them?  What connections would I use for making them detachable?  Thanks in advance.

why would want to have a detachable cable on a $15 earphone? the cable would cost more than the earphones itself! just wondering.

How bout just getting another 15$ pair and breaking them open to see how it fits together?

yeah i could do that but i dont know what female/male plugs to plug into them that are small enough.  ive seen some with pins like a hard drive jumper but i cant find them anywhere anymore.
