  I've recently decided to move away from heavy desktop setups (amps and headphones) as when I'm sitting at my desk, my first choice is never to pick up the headphones, but to use my desktop/subwoofer setup. Which basically means that I do all my listening away from my listening area.  When I was into more "portable" audio, Ray Samuels amps were talked about very lively here, but they seem to have fallen out of favor (and he doesn't seem to have really updated is inventory). What has replaced them, or what is out there that I should be looking at?
