HI! I'm looking for a really good rendition of Ravel's Bolero.....does anyone know a good one? I love incredible fidelity/production/recordings(dont we all? isnt that why we have cans?). Live would be nice but studio is fine too. I don't know much about classical other than what I like, however searching for a classical cd is hard. A certain orchestra might be better suited to Ravel than another. I want THE recording of Bolero. One thats going to leave me, my ears, and mind completely speechless. So....any suggestions? Thanks!

Dutoit has a good rendition. Comes on a 2 for 1 CD set with a lot of other first rate Ravel performances.

Yes this is very strong version, essential collection: Dutoit/Decca 2CD

Bolero will always come packaged with other works and Dutoit is very strong in all Ravel orchestral pieces. The sound London/Decca label acheived with many of Dutoit's Ravel performances is near demonstration class
