I didn't see anywhere but here to introduce myself, so here goes. My name's Matt. I plan to be a regular here. I'm a noob at audio gear, so if I ask a lot of questions, I hope to not annoy you at all. I realize since theres no intro section, that it's likely not appreciated, but I didn't know where to start. So I guess... hi guys! If you have any questions about me, feel free.

You picked the right place, and intros are always welcome. So.... welcome.

You'll find that we have a great community here so hopefully you'll stick around for a while (and not go too broke in the process)!

Lmao, thankfully enough, my wallets in a safehold in brantford (3 hours away; forgot it at my dads >_<)

I suppose my first question is. What do I start on learning? I mean, obviously stuff about headphones and amps and the sort, but what do I do? Read reviews to figure out whats good and whats not? How do I get to understand the actual parts used?

I suppose thats more than 1 question. sorry >_<

Also, I'm getting a ZV:M and an LOD from Soloz, so I need a portable amp to go with, any suggestions?

Just start reading! If you're looking for an amp, start in the Amps section and look through any thread that piques your interest, or make a post asking for some suggestions to get you started. People here won't bite - they'll just talk you into spending all your money!

Welcome. Im a bit of a n00b as well. I came here more for info on my portable and headphones for it. But there is a wealth of info here. Plus links to other websites specialising in certain areas of audio.

You dont need to spend much to have a good rig. There is a bit of snobbery here sometimes as well, regarding gear.

Welcome Matt!

First of all, What sort of music do you listen to?

Second... what are you using as a source?
CD (If so, what make/model and are you using an external DAC (Digtal to Analogue Converter)?)
Computer (If so, what soundcard/DAC and what kbps recordings?)
MP3 Player (If so, which model?)
Other (?)

Third... What headphones or amps do you currently own (if any)?

Fourth... Do you want portable or static equipment?

We should be able to give you some sound starting points from that lot
