The LCDi4 is amazing, though to really make it shine I paired it with the WA8 tube amp. Takes it to another level, especially on the low end.
Agreed, LCDi4 are amazing, even in 2024 there is nothing quite like it. I also have the Audeze iSINE 20 and they are good as well, for a fraction of the price they provide similar qualities. But the bass on the i4 when EQ'd is just...yum...
Shame they discontinued them, to me they are the best headphone experience in a IEM set up.

Cannot agree more
But to shine LCDi4, you need a source of very high quality and output power. Every time with a new device, I found I discovered something new with LCDi4

None of a DAP in the market can drive says 60% of it's potential (even with 2Go+Hugo2 combo)
Either a desktop setup or a great portable amplifier

Annihilator 2023 vs Multiverse Mentor? :)
That's tough picking a winner.
I'd go Anni 2023, if pressed. Both have their pluses and minuses.

In order of my favourite:

1) Final Audio A8000
2) Westone Mach 70
3) Etymotic ER4XR
4) Hifiman RE2000 Pro Silver
5) Final Audio A5000
6) FatFreq Grand Maestro SE
7) Audeze LCD-i3
8) Empire Ears Legend X
9) Raptgo Hook X (Original)
10) Truthear Hexa (unbelievable price to performance.)

Honourable mentions:

* Jerry Harvey Audio, Roxanne
* Koss Porta Pro (not an IEM, I know but any opportunity to plug it. Haha)
* 7Hz Legato
* Fatfreq Scarlet Mini
* Soundmagic E80

In this journey I quickly discovered that price, many times in IEMs means nothing.

Some budget sets to my ears sound better than kilobuck sets. Take as a great example, the Final Audio A5000.

1. Isn EBC80 (love all isn)
2. Tone King shockwave 3
3. Sony xba z5
4. IMR Ozar
5. IMR Dawn
6. Zero Duoza
7. Campfire Solaris
8. Campfire Andromeda
9. LZ A6
10. AKG 3100
11. AKG 5005

(Not in any order)

I need to try the final E5000 as bass and soundstage/imaging/separation are what's important to me. I'm a bit treble sensitive and I love bullet style IEMS. Any recs appreciated. I feel like shockwave gets the most play.
