I really feel blessed owning both the RE0 and FA DBA-02 as they are often ranked higher than the IE8, TF10 and even the e-Q7 and SM3 among certain individuals

I know of others who would rank the DBA-02 as better than the SM3 due to the difference in sonic signatures and vice versa. I also know of a few people who owned the SM3 and sold it once they had the DBA-02's.

At a certain point it's more about sound signature preference than anything. I think the level the DBA-02 is at that point and while I haven't heard the SM3 a lot of people who owned both the SM3 and DBA-02 feel it is as well.

Agreed. At a certain price/performance point it really does become about sound signature preferences.

I listen to Classical including Wagner, Bartok, Bach berlioz and Mahler. American roots and bluegrass,Pink Floyd and for electronic Depech Mode and Ultravox. Also have a thing for Vince Gill and Dolly Parton, Neil young, Green Day, Deep Purple and Zep.
 
All of these phones sound great with this music overall though I find the ETY's and Stax best with all of it and the Senn's great with large scale Wagnarian Opera.
