1- HiFiMan HE6SE - Technically inferior to my ADX5000 but is more of an all rounder and works with more genres so is my no. 1 headphone. I drive it with a speaker power amp and a tube pre. Amazing with Rock and Blues.

2- Audio Technica ADX5000 - Sounds fabulous with the right genres on my Feliks Euforia and bests my HE6SE for Jazz, Classical and Acoustic.

3- HD 650 - Scales insanely with my OTL Feliks Euforia and tonality is spot on. But is clearly a no.3 compared to the others I own.

4- HifiMan Deva - Clearly a step below all my other HPs. Fun tuning and pretty easy to drive though some phones will find it a tough load.

I just got a new headphone, the Aeon RT Closed, and I'm going off my first day of listening with it.

1. ZMF Aeolus. It seems really enjoyable and proficient with almost anything. I'm mostly a rock music kinda guy and this headphone does really well for most rock genres IMO.

2. Aeon RT Closed. I did just get this today but I really like it so far. My only closed headphone currently.

3. AKG K240 Sextett LP. I picked this up for $68 on eBay and it is even a match for the Aeolus in some ways. Great with my Lyr 3 and needs gobs of power, 600 ohms.

4. Probably a toss up between the AKG K7XX and the HD650. They both excel in different ways. 650 for mids and vocals. K7XX for soundstage, treble energy, bass extension and slam. Both headphones scale like crazy for $200-ish cans!

5. I also have a pair of LCD-2 from 2013. I would rank these higher but the left driver goes in and out. Need to sell or repair.

Based on use and overall sound quality:
Not a large collection I had more at one time but decided to invest in a high end Yamaha amp and CD player and some Focal Tower speakers

Currently Own

1. Grado RS1-i Rock and Some Jazz and Classical great highs and lows and soundstage could listen to them for hours very fun and engaging
2. Grado RS2e Electronic, Techno, Trance these are a very close second to the RS1-i seem to be a bit warmer and they are super smooth
2. Sennheiser HD 600 with HD 650 cable Classical especially piano female vocals a bit more treble than the 650 but once I used them for many hours they are so smooth.
3. Sennheiser HD 650 stock cable all round use very comfortable and non fatiguing more bass that the 600 slightly better with certain types of music. Sound amazing with bottle head crack with speedball and my Yamaha S3000 amp really best bang for the buck very an all round great headphone for the price.

IE
Shure SE846
Shure SE535
Sennheiser IE40 pro

Sold

BeyerDynamic DT770 80 ohm DT880 250 ohm , DT990 DT1990 just could not take the treble could only listen to them for a few minutes and I felt like I was being subjected to some form of torture. This was not with every kind of music not saying they are all bad but for me just cannot tolerate the high pitch. I tried them with my ADI 2-DAC FS, Rupert Neve AMP, Schiit and BottleHead Crack amps same results for me. They just seemed to analytical to me and I strictly listen to music for enjoyment if this makes sense. I almost stop using headphones because of them. They could be EQ'd but it made them lifeless.

Sennheiser HD 800 for the cost I jut did not feel they were enough of an upgrade yes they were better bigger sound stage decided that more expensive headphones were a series diminishing returns and I am happy with what I have. I also had an issue with them breaking and had them replaced once under warranty

Focal Elear great sound but unlike the speakers they have awful build quality returned them immediately after right driver failed

Sony MDR V6 MDR 7506 they were okay for the price and that's about it.

And then there was only four. After owning many, these are the last ones remaining in the stable. Doubt I'll ever part ways with any of them. In order, starting with my favorite first -

Kennerton Magni
Ibasso SR2
Beoplay H6 (modded for balanced use)
Meze 99 Classics, still using the original OG pads.
The SR2 isn't very open, so I still need to find my preferred open back.
