I did a search and found a thread on an old Ramsey Electronics headphone amp the SHA1C, but it looks like they have a newer version out. Of the two or three reviews I have read on the SHA1C they seemed pretty mixed.

I was just wondering what people thought of their new amp and if anyone has tried it? The adjustable bass and treble look interesting, but the case looks kind of plain.

I wouldn't call it "audiophile grade" by any stretch of imagination. The LM386 amplifier chip it uses is not very hi-fi (it's intended for small portable radios or TVs), and the LM1036 tone/balance/volume chip is likewise pedestrian (for car radios and TVs). The rest of the parts on the PCB also look quite bargain-basement...

But for the low, low price one can't expect much anyway.
