Being an artist myself, I am in awe of anyone who can make art and make a living on it, whether it be Radiohead, Coldplay, or some teen Pop idol. The reason why I am mentioning this is that I am hoping that whoever votes here will be able to respect the gravity of both artists and express their opinions with thought and consideration. Please, no bashing. It is easy to tear someone down when they are on top and harder to give credit where credit is due.

Here are the links to the other Radiohead polls:

Deciding question:

Has Radiohead plagiarized anyone?

Plagiarize
Let no one else's work evade your eyes
Remember why the good Lord made your eyes
So don't shade your eyes
But plagiarize, plagiarize, plagiarize
Only be sure always to call it please "research"

^ I'm not surprised, really. I mean, Coldplay is great, they write and play well, they're entertaining etc., but Radiohead...they're just something else. I feel like I'm listening to art or something. Funny thing is, Radiohead took me some time to appreciate. Also, what would Coldplay's equivalent of OK Computer be? Viva la Vida is a sixpack of awesome, but...OK Computer is like magic.

To be quite honest, though I've heard this Coldplay/Radiohead thing before, Coldplay's music is more accessible, it sounds beautiful on a more fundamental, appreciable level...and why they are so successful.

Listening to Radiohead the sound is less polished, raw, more original sounding. It sounds more like a rock band.

What about Oasis? Same genre, but are they in between Coldplay and Radiohead?

edit: Oh, and Spies is an absolute classic. Which ever high bar Radiohead has set, that one Coldplay song is right there.
