This may be old hat for some, but I just found out about it from this article [NYTimes]. Thought some of you might also find it interesting.

what headphone is best for terminal velocity?

Naw the bagel pads aren't aerodynamic enough.

Grado's probably wouldn't do the trick. You would need a closed phone for free fall to isolate the wind noise.
But during "Flying Squirrel" mode you would want phones which featured cups which rotate 90 degrees so they can add to wind resistance and slow flight.
It would also be advisable that the phone be made of lightweight, yet VERY durable materials considering the likelihood of crash and the need of the family to recover some expenses...
