I could tell you brief impressions of each of them, but in general, I can say I much preferred it on tube amps versus solid state amps. Again, still quite a good pairing with most every one of those solid states I tried, but I felt that tubes just gave the Immanis more body and sonic characteristic that I ended up preferring. I know some prefer it off of solid states, so that’s merely a preferential thing. I really, really liked it off the WA23 which I had previously demoed on three separate occasions when I owned the WA23. Up until I heard it off the Cayin Soul, it probably was my favorite amp. There was a magical characteristic when paired with the Holo May & WA23.
I tried the Cayin 170HA with the Immanis on a few DACs, once in the ZMF room, once in the Bloom Audio room, and once at the Mimic booth at CJ So Cal. Only the ZMF was paired with a decent DAC, as I believe it was paired with the DCS Lina DAC. Each time I was impressed enough, I knew it could only get better when I was pairing it with the Holo May at home.
The ones I really haven’t heard yet that I really want to is the MassKobo 465 and the Riviera AIC-10. I really do want to try it again on the SAEQ Armageddon, but with the Cayin I feel I am not left wanting much more.
