And @rsbrsvp if you do give Danny (@SageM) a call, you will be greeted by one of the most wonderful, genuinely kind, passionate professionals in the industry. Additionally, he genuinely loves those he interacts with and sings their praises unabashedly, David and Aleks especially!

I just last called him a couple days ago to just check on the status of my Immanis, and he and I ended up chatting for an hour and forty minutes. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The several times I’ve interacted with Danny, I’ve left each conversation feeling positive, happy, cared for, and valued. Thanks again, Danny!

I dont think I made anything big out of anything by mentioning the option of getting the hp new at the same price
cheaper as MSRP...
One of the most interesting infos so far imo! thanks!
If a contract, deal isn't agreed upon by all parties to be treated privately then it's a matter of free choice to talk about it.
and not argue about prices
What?
I've bought a HP from a dealer and I've received it in the same box as he has gotten it from the distributor.
How much to charge for simply forwarding a box? I know it's not THAT simple but what to make of a dealer who is able, willing to sell below listed price and what of one who would never sell below?

I can second that, danny is about the nicest person I have met in years...informative and incredibly generous with his time

Yes, Danny is one of the truly good guys in audio.
I was a little nervous with a lot of questions on my first call and then within minutes it was like talking to an old friend.
He is very knowledgeable but modest, calm and relaxing to talk to.

Not to pile on too much with the lovefest, but I couldn't possibly agree more. Danny is a model example of a great human being. I actually make it a point to order direct from him rather than through dealers because I have complete confidence I will always be taken care of, and it's always a joy to have an excuse to talk to him.

Welcome. Its one of the best advices I got in audio - always talk with your audio dealers, you will be surprised how much cheaper than MSRP many are willing to sell brand new releases.

I got one
I am a good customer, and so is he as a dealer.
Last time, my wife told him it was her birthday, and he sent her a Final Audio ZE8000. :)
And at that time, it wasn't even a big purchase from us. I think the present was pricier. :)

Cheers!

I don't wish to re-jeopardize your $10K but I will say you can "thicken up" the sound if you pair the Immanis with a VM-1a for instance. Will also be trying a tube DAC feeding into an HSA-1b tomorrow to see how much of that tubeyness carries through the chain given that the Immanis is very transparent to the upstream components.
Paired the HSA-1b / Immanis with an upstream Lampi Baltic 4 tube DAC and that added just enough additional note weight and decay to near perfectly complement the drive provided by the HSA. Very nice combination indeed.

Jogged my memory I have not run the Immanis out of the HSA-1C for a while now. Switched. Decided to run it out of an old favourite DAC, the Bricasti M1. :)

And how was that chain pairing upon revisiting it?

Very nice. Full and rich. That’s why I enjoyed the Bricasti M1 for the past 15 years or so. It was only in the past year that I picked up the Holo Spring 3 KTE for some R2R goodness. :)

So, it's been hot here. For quite a while. I'd been taking a break from my tubes and focusing on SS. But tonight, I plugged my Immanis back into the VM-1a for the first time in a few weeks. I had almost forgotten how good the Immanis sounds off this amp. The VM-1a is a really good amp. Really good.
