Did over air update of hiby itself. Is there another?

Just checked again and now showing another update with HD Music support.

No idea why it would not just do this update instead of older one.

Also, which case is recommended? Include rubber/plastic type one shows water-mark wffect on back. Too slippy to use without a case.

I think the official leather case- what I have is the only other case now. It's got screen protectors applied but they suck, don't know about any yet.

Thanks. I Took protector off. Is Hiby real leather and nice quality.

Really liking the SQ, even Spotify. SE sounds nearly as good as balanced too.

I don't think it's real leather, but it is nice quality and fits good- although top is exposed. I find the balanced has a bit more staging and dynamics but they're both nice.

I don't think it's real leather, but it is nice quality and fits good- although top is exposed. I find the balanced has a bit more staging and dynamics but they're both nice.

Think I'm just going to put a photo in back of supplied case until real leather ones come out. I'm fine with the TPU case so long as I get rid of the water-mark effect. Helps stop accidental press of the keys too.

Tidal Masters over Balanced noticeably sounds best. Can only have my SE846's at ~30-40 volume low gain via balanced. I've Set the volume limiter so I don't accidentally kill my ears

Anyone who has also had the Sony NW-A45 (or 30/50 series) that can compare the size of the R5? I'm thinking they are similar in size but its hard to tell through the internet without seeing pics next to each other.

So you don't find the treble lacking?

Never thought of that for the tpu case.

Sounds fine across the range to my ears but only used with SE846's at the moment.

UAPP is a no go with it Needing to use the Android driver. Doesn't even play DSD's native, but Hiby player is fine anyway as is Tidal, Spotify and Amazon Music HD.

At price, its a great little player and prefering to the M11.
The Mojo still sounds best at this price point but then thats just a DAC/AMP.

Build quality not to Sony ZX standard but again for the price its fabulous.

AMP power way more than Sony.
