Okay i did a quick search to make sure i wasn't reposting, i didn't find anything but just to make sure, sorry if this IS a repost.

i was wondering, with the canal ear buds how are they with sleeping on ones side? from the looks of the way the enter the ear ... is the pressure noticable? im looking into getting some Shures or some ER-4s (not definate) but along with sound-quality, comfort also plays a big role.

If anyone can let me know would be great.

thanks in advance.

Well I have e5 and the ety's. I found the cord was more of an issue with the ety's then with the e5s. The e5s go behind the ear and can tighten the cord from behind the neck. The ety's cord came down in front and clipped onto the shirt. Comfort wise I liked the e5 better.

I also have Ety ER4p and Shure E5. I've slept in both. I think the Shure's are more comfortable, but I didn't really have any issues sleeping in either.

I've also slept with Senn 590s on and found them comfortabe, so maybe there isn't much that I wouldn't find okay for sleep!

I couldn't wear ER4 going to sleep because they stuck out too much, causing uncomfortable pressure when laying sideways. This was one of the reasons why I sold them in favor of Shure E4C.

yeah i could see how the ER4's would do that. hmm interesting stuff. I have HD580's and i can't sleep in those cause they are big and bulky, so when laying on the side, well ... that just doesn't work out.
