I love these meets, I look forward to meeting new friends and seeing all the friends we've got to know already.

Oh yeah, Questyle along with all the vendors are supplying the food & beverages! It's going to be great!

Thanks everybody for hosting such a great event! Here are some of the great combos that I got to try out. They all sounded really good, but of course they were all slightly different:
  • ZMF Eikon with ampsandsound Mogwai. The EIkon loves tube amps.
  • Audeze LCD-XC with Woo Audio WA33 and LCD-4 with McIntosh MHA150. The LCD-XC sounds more 'up close' where the LCD-4 sounds more 'delicate' as my wife put it. She preferred the LCD-4.
  • Sennheiser HD 650 with ampsandsound Kenzie. The HD 650 is one of the all-time great headphones and sounded especially good with the Kenzie.
  • Sennheiser HD 800S with the new (unreleased, coming later this year) HDV 820 amp. Very spacious soundstage.
  • MrSpeakers Ether Flow with Cavalli Liquid Gold. This is a really great combo with deep, punchy bass. With all the excitement around the Ether Electrostat it's easy to forget what a great headphone the Ether Flow really is.
  • MrSpeakers Ether Electrostat with Blue Hawaii SE. Wow, to my ears this is the best sound from any electrostatic headphone - and yes, I have heard the Stax 009/BHSE combo. Deep, juicy bass from an electrostat! Smooth treble with no brightness. (My wife preferred the Ether Electrostat to the Flow, saying it sounded more 'delicate'.)
By the way, on the way home after the event my wife asked me: "So, you really spend thousands of dollars chasing these really small differences in sound?" Answer: Yes. A pretty concise summary of our hobby!

Again, big thanks to everyone for making this event happen!
