Questyle CMA Fifteen — Official Thread

@mc501s Haven't forgotten about this 😄 don't worry.

I pinged the engineers earlier today to remind them to look into this. Our engineering team is quite small and they are all on a extended business trip the past weeks as Questyle expands into new areas and products, and they still haven't answered this question...

I'll push them again tomorrow and Monday and get back to you as soon as they finally get back to me. Thanks for your patience.

@Questyle This is a general issue that applies to other users as well. Can you please share the solution with the group so that others can benefit from it as well?

@ra990 This is an issue that just affects a low percentage of machines, based on production batch. We have a specific firmware update for the different units affected, depending on the serial number (aka, the batch). We prefer not to release that publicly because if the firmware for one batch is accidentally installed on a different batch, it could lead to serious issues that damage the machine.

If there's anyone else in this thread that is having similar issues, please PM me and I'll take care of you all. Sorry for the trouble, we'll do our best to make it right.

As I spoilered in my review as part of the CMA15 tour, I finally replaced my former Chord TT2 with my own Questyle CMA Fifteen

Great review Ichos! I found the imaging technicalities of the DAC pretty amazing with my speaker setup using the hotter output. May be worth a try for you.

The Fifteen is capable of some pretty amazing pairings when used as an AIO for headphones. It carved through my inventory of headphones with great performance. HD650(M), 660S, Ether CX & K712 all were driven to their fullest. When gaming there is a nice bloom to the bass that is also very precise with pinpoint accuracy in staging. I've not heard an amp before that does both of these things together so well. Usually the staging gets compressed or the sound is more bloomy. Not so with the Fifteen. Really awesome stuff. When I tried external amps I always came back to the built in one. The evolution of current mode is no joke and it really is a unique and very performant sound.
