Hey

I thinking of buy a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi™ Xtreme to replace my Creative Audigy 2 zs. I just have a few questions about it currently as i am a poor student i have a full awsome analog amp. From My Zs i have taken 2 cables on from the FL/FR socket in which has been split up using RCA that goes to my amp and then from the FC/SW for my Sub in which goes to the pre amp. This all works fine even though there is is a bug with the zs's and you have to set the crossover frequency away for the sub to work, on analog at least.

As far as i can see the x-fi only has 3 audo ports "FlexiJack (Performing a 3-in-1 function, Digital I/O1 / Line In / Microphone)" and Line level out (Front / Rear / Side / Center / Subwoofer)" and some other crap. Am i able to connect this to my current system ? also im going to purchase a digtal amp when i have the money is it as simpale as going 3.5mm jack to RCA or what ever hte digtal connection on the amp is for it to work ?

Any help would be great and hope with this i become audio enthusiast as your selfs.

Regards Jordan.

If all you want is PCM output it is simple. Female mono RCA to 1/8 mono male minijack coupler is all you need to convert.

I can't answer your other questions, because I am unfamiliar with your speakers and multichannel audio in general. I will say the X-Fi has an option to pass Dolby Digital or DTS bitstream out, but I don't know what type of cables or breakouts are needed for those, as I am a 2-channel guy. Perhaps someone else can answer.
