It's up to $620.00, which more than retail!

When these 1st were released, they sold for $595.

I have a cool ad for the HP-1000's from AA. I'll scan it and post it here for all of you as a special treat, later.

Sorry KR, but the attachment size had to be limited so that Head-Fi isn't used as an image repository. This is something I want to see, so if you e-mail it to me at headfidelity@netscape.net, I will host this image (don't everybody go sending me a bunch of images!).

This auction, by the way, is getting way crazy.

Will do Jude, I send you the file and you can resize it if it's too big.

My HP-2's were mint, so I have all the papers, if you want them I can send them to you for the board and the site. I know this is something only Grado geeks will want, but am one of them, it's history dang it

One of them is a DIY mod for them from Joe

I can even scan the box as well.
But, only what you want, I don't want to send you too much stuff

Send it all, man! I think everyone here would like to see that stuff (I know I would).

You cant' win your own caps anyways Jude

mbriant, yeah, you're right. I'll put you down for 700 (since it's to the dollar). I'll also stand with you at 700 (but, of course, can't win).

I'll freak out if the first guy who guesses like $1000 wins!

I've seen reviews go both ways on that. There's no questioning the build quality of the HP-1's is superior to just about anything else I've seen, if the pics I've seen of it are any indication. The sound, however, seems to be a bag of mixed opinions as far as if it's better than the RS-1's or not. I have no idea which sounds better.

For me, the value of the HP-1's is pretty much just private collector value. Should I dust off my Leupold and unfold the Harris bipod? Hmmm.....nah, I think I'm going to sit this one out.
