Sennheiser HD 201 Headphones
Sennheiser HD 202 Headphones

These two headphones both fit in my price range, and after reading some reviews they seem ok. But on one of the reviews done on the 201, it seems like the S sound reacts kinda funny, and am curious as to other cons of these two head phones. I listen to all music, rap, rock, classical, metal, techno, etc, if that has any weight on the decision.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Do both of these come the converter for normal jacks, i think its the 1/8''.

HD 201 are ok for the price.

I heard HD 202 for a very short time and they seemed to be a heavy-bass cans. For bassheads they may be ok, but I didn't like them at all. Senns PX 100, or at least Koss KSC 75 would be IMO a better choice.

They all come with a 1/8 to 1/4 conversion plug.

I think the 201's are very good for the money. They're a little uncomfortable and they're not the last word in fidelity, but keep in mind that they're a closed design and you'd be hard pressed to find a better sounding closed headphones for the money. Neither the PX100 or the KSC75's are closed phones, so be sure you're comparing apples to apples when considering your purchase.

Yes the 201 is a fine phone for it's price. I bought a 4-pack for my sons when they first came out to use instead of the earbuds supplied with their various machines and I have browed them from time to time when other of my main phones have been broken.

If you're wondering about sibilance, it's not a problem in my experience with these phones.

i have listened to HD 201's. it was ok, unreal for $25, but much better than i expected, though i believe HD 202 is better (looks + quality) and the price difference isn't much. i say it would be a wise choice to go for the HD 202.
