There is an option in the driver software that lets you turn on the THX surround, But there is no option to select  5.1 or 7.1 input channels.

Also, when I go to playback devices/choose Go!Pro/configure, I can only choose 2 channels there... Can someone explain to me what is happening here ?

We can only feed the sound card with two channels ? there are different 2.0 channels ? ones with no info and others with extra info that tell the sound card what to do ?

Download the newest COMPANY factory drivers (Creative's stuff, not the sound feature software) and look for it when it is completely downloaded and installed. If it still isn't there, e-mail or phone Creative about the problem.

Also, do you have thx-certified speakers? They will be specifically certified by 5.1 or 7.1, but the thx certification is the first thing to have in order to have the drivers recognize the 5.1 or 7.1 setup and give you the options.

You know, there also thx-certified headphones in wired and wireless choices. The certification is necessary too for THX. There are portable soundcards that will virtual 7.1 on a 2.0/2.1 setup, but those software setups are not THX.

Everyone here at the official MSI mainboard forums is having the same conversation we are having right now with just the thx trusurround software and are fed up with it. Their solution is to buy a different sound card, so I do not know what to say. I can tell you the siig virtual 7.1 usb sound card or amplifier (forgot what it said it was) will do virtual 7.1 on all of your cans, just as it did for my ue metro-fi 220 iems before it got stolen with my laptop (you can ask the Houston Police Dept. for a full report :D ).

I should make a lawsuit against Creative and THX stating that their technology is so bad it makes others want to steal technology that works. Anyone that is a lawyer in the audio industry or has a relative can PM me and we can take it from there. :D :D :D
