Wav and even flac files are too large to stream from an external storage device connected via usb 1 without the song momentarily pausing so how is it that a usb 1 dac can playback lossless audio files uninterruptedly?

my bithead did fine with my old viao with usb 1
and yes, i do have lossless files

I'm aware that it works. I have my own usb dac. I'm just wondering how.

USB 1 is 12Mb/s and 16/48 (the maximum for USB 1 audio) is 1.5Mb/s raw data plus some overhead, I don't see a problem.
