I'm looking to buy some new headphones and was wondering which ones were better.  My price range is $300,  I have pretty much ruled out Beats and have narrowed it down to V-moda LP2, the M-80 or Mix Master from Skullcandy. Although any other suggestions are welcome.

Your price range is 300 but the prices of the headphones you listed are 200,180 and 300. I've never heard the Mix Master but Skullcandy is generally derided here. If you want proper advice, you need to list what your sound preference is and what you've already experienced. Also, the full size headphone forum might be better based on your listed phones.

Out of the three listed, go V-Moda M-80.

The V-Moda M-80 at 170 or HD 25-II also at 170 at guitar center are very good phones that you won't regret buying. The DT1350 previously stated is also a stellar choice and within your budget. What kind of music do you listen to?

M-80, HD25, DT1350 all look really good and I think its a matter of which one fits your style the most (shallow i know) between the three.

*cough* I totally didn't buy my M-80s because I thought they looked neat. No siree, it wasn't just luck they fit my sound style...

Soundwise they sound like they are up my alley, but I'm afraid of comfort issues with the m-80. Hoping the m-100 will sort that out for me.

edit: reason is cuz i have a large head, Q701 barely fit lol

I have a fairly large head as well but the m-80s work pretty well for me. Took awhile to get comfortable but they do end up pretty comfy.According to Val, the m-100 fixes the only real flaw of the m-80 which were the highs. He said the new m-100 greatly extends the treble range of the m-80s. If it's true, damn. Those headphones will be amazing.
