Question on upgrading from Khadas and EE Odin

I've been listening to music predominantly through Qobuz while using the Khadas Tone 2 pro with the EE Odin iem's and I was wondering if I could get any thoughts or advice on where to go next. While I love the Odin's they slightly hurt my ears and so I was looking at a few other options, like the Meze Empyreans, Noble Sultan (looking at a Damascus version), or maybe trying to hunt down a pair of the Erlkonig's (unless VE comes out with their next TOTL soon). As such, could I get any opinions or thoughts from people that are familiar with them? If it helps, I predominantly listen to Metalcore (DGD, A lot like Birds, TWMF, Loathe, Hail the Sun), and some electronic and random other things (from classical guitar to Joji).

Also, I wanted to know if there was an upgrade to the Khadas Tone 2 pro that would make a significant leap in performance that anyone could recommend. Unless it punches way above its weight.
