I was waiting for my package from mouser.
But it was not delivered even after a week, so I tried to find what's going on.

What i learned was that the address on the label is not correct.
The address on the label is like 2134 A-street, while correct address is like 1234 A-street. I don't know why that happened. I got drunken or something when I order those stuffs or something.

I called USPS, but all they said was they can't help a thing and it sounded like that I have absolutely no option at this moment.

It looks like the package is sitting at the one of nearby local post office. But the system won't tell me which one that is.

So... guys, what are my options?
How long do you think it will going to take to get back to the sender?
Any opinion?

I suggest the following:
1. Get a hold of the tracking number (if you don't have it already).
2. Call USPS and demand to get the exact location of the parcel.
3. If needed, demand to get a supervisor on the line. If you don't get what you ask for that is.

That always seems to work for me.

If things in US work as the way they should be.... *sigh*

I tried that, and it didn't work. I may try that again at different time.

I wrote to USPS with correct address a few days ago. I am not sure this would help them deliver or not.

*sigh*
Then do as you say, try again at a different time. Hopefully you meet a person who are more willing to help than the previous one.

I don't see why they are so hard to deal with.

I've been waiting for a package from USPS that was supposed to arrive on the 24th... and it still hasn't come yet. It left Amazon's department on the 15th too...

Maybe I should call up USPS too?

um...look up..the closest (in terms of distance) post office to the wrong address, I'd assume they very well might be the one holding the package. Then talk to them.

Bless the bureaucracies, they keep us going. Of course, that's not helpful. Maybe an appointment with the local postmaster would suffice. In these situations, always go to the decision makers. If he doesn't help, at least he might give you a plan of action.

Worst case scenario: the package is returned to Mouser as undeliverable. Mouser will contact you and you can correct the address with them. Have you verified if you did transpose the numbers or not? You probably did since Mouser is just going to print the address as you typed it.

Find out which Post Office delivers to your area and make a trip and talk to them about your predicament. Make sure you bring the incorrect address that is on the label.

Darn.... USPS delivered my package to the wrong place to the wrong guy. I think that has delievery confirmation option though, I think that option certainly is useless.

I think I know where the place is based on the partial address and the zip code. It's about 15 min from my place. I think I need to go there and talk to them about it. I will bring the receipt and things, but I am only hoping that they are honest people. Wish me luck.

I got the package.

The place they delivered my package is a carry out deli. I went there 7 in the morning, asked if they got a package. They said yes, and hand it over to me. I felt relived, ordered one of their breakfast, chat little bit, thank you kinda stuff.

They asked me if I am a computer technician. I asked why, and I found that they opened my package. Curious people they are. They said they opened, but did not take anything out. None missing as they said, so they are alright, hehe. They've seen chips and parts in there, and thought that way. I told them, not really, but I do it for hobby.

Anyway, i got may package back, so I am happy. And, btw, their breakfast was not that great. :P
