Question about the "new" Shure black foam sleeves.

Under FAQ's on the Shure website I read that they can be cleaned by wiping the outside with a damp paper towel. Does that mean that I should NOT wash them out in soapy water (like I did with the standard foamies) and could washing them do damage ?

hmmm, I washed them and they seemed to lose their memory after that. I think it would be best to just wipe them and avoid use of any chemicals.

I failed to mention that I used dishwashing soap too, thats probably what screwed them up.

i use an alcohol+cotton to clean the outside, been doing that the past week or so. so far no damage on the foamies. guess they work.

Yeah, I washed them and they were ruined...so now I just wipe them down with damp paper towel, works great!!!
